The only reason I didn't mention lacrosse is because

the ACC currently gets pretty good coverage in lacrosse. Given the lack of TV coverage of professional lacrosse (I think there are 2 outdoor leagues and maybe a few indoor leagues) and the lack of participating schools (HS and college), would it be wise for the ACC to push for even more coverage of lacrosse? I pose that question because the ACC is perceived to be a "basketball conference" when football is currently driving the train on most decisions. So would the ACC be making a mistake to be perceived as a "lacrosse conference" when baseball and/or softball are the big Spring sports?

I have seen reports that lacrosse is growing in popularity with youth and it will take some tie for interest to trickle its way up to the professional level. However, no one can be sure when interest in professional lacrosse will take off (if at all). The ACC could come out looking like a visionary for being ahead of the curve with lacrosse or it could potentially blow up in its face (if interest in professional lacrosse never takes off). I don't know if now is the "right time" for the ACC to take this gamble.
